It is common to engage a coach or a therapist having run out of self-improvement strategies, with our hearts full of hope and our heads full of ideas about what needs to happen in order for us to be happy (or insert adjective of choice).

But before we can grow any new capacities, it really is necessary to experience ourselves as we currently are, in full spectrum. To explore how we are with curiosity and kindness.

I came to Rezzan because I was finding it difficult to establish my own priorities, and had a sense of going to sleep on myself. The process of our work together has allowed me to do more purposeful thinking than I’ve ever done before, around me as an artist, and one year on I am still putting it into practice.

The developmental coaching that I offer is focused on the development of insight and awareness. This coaching is for anyone who is experiencing challenges either in single or multiple domains of life and seeking greater understanding and resolution. It is effective whether you are after a specific outcome or not.

Distinct from a goal-focused, manifestation approach to coaching, developmental coaching entails a prolonged and advanced investigation of the current way of being.

Similar to counselling, this kind of coaching has the qualities of unconditional positive regard and support. Beyond what is generally offered in counselling, developmental coaching intends to create the conditions for intelligent action to flourish. The past and our personal narratives are touched upon to the extent that they are relevant to our current issues. Otherwise, we don’t go there.

Clarifying the contents of our immediate experience is generative when it comes to change. We find that as we learn to be present with, and intelligently question, our experience, new capacities and ways of being emerge effortlessly. The self-improvement mindset falls away.

I worked with Rezzan in January of 2022, and it was my first time working with a coach or anything of the sort. She is a great empathetic listener and our conversations had a great flow and energy to them. I learned an incredible amount about myself and my tendencies… it has been incredibly helpful in everyday life. My time with Rezzan gave me a framework for understanding myself and others.

The coaching is designed to equip you to learn how to continue to generate insight and transformation after our work together is complete.

If you do not know your Enneagram type and would like to begin the coaching with a typing exploration, I am happy to offer those (I have done a great many). If you know your type and want me to know it, that is also fine. The Enneagram really can help to offer coordinates when it comes to landing on fruitful areas of inquiry. However, it doesn’t help you with the process of getting curious about your actual experience.

If you are interested in the possibility of coaching, you can email me at rez@thepracticalenneagram.com or use the form at the bottom of this page.

I offer complimentary 15 minute consultations which we can schedule at our mutual convenience (I am on UK time unless stated otherwise here).

The coaching happens via Zoom. My standard rate is £89 per 60-minute session. You can continue the coaching for as long as it is helpful to you.

A few FAQs

How long have you been coaching? My developmental coaching practice started in 2018. My career started in the legal field and publishing.

Why is your rate what it is? The rate is on the lower side of the standard for a professional with my training and experience.

Are practices included as part of the sessions? Based on what arises during the sessions, I will make recommendations and suggestions in terms of reading material and practices. Everyone that I coach is recommended to immediately begin a basic sensing and meditation practice.

How much do you use the Enneagram? The Enneagram is a part of my way of seeing – it informs me constantly both in practice and in life. I will not suggest specific practices for your type – I will suggest specific practices for you. The Enneagram may be guiding my line of curiosity and questioning at times.

What happens during the consult? Glad you asked! There will be no exploring of you or your challenge during the consult. The purpose of the consults is for you to ask any remaining questions you have about the process.

What do you recommend in terms of a minimum number of sessions? I personally have found that it takes around 2-3 sessions to bed in with a coach but it’s up to you.

What clients do you generally work with? I have coached people in their 20s and those in their 70s; people from different nationalities/cultures; and business people to creatives. Most coaches coach the person, not the topic, and that is true for me too.

What is your method informed by? The foundations for my coaching practice are from my education with Integral Coaching Canada. My way of coaching is informed by the integral methodology and Inquiry, which is my personal practice.

How often would we meet? A maximum of once per week, and a recommended minimum of once per month.

What is the time commitment each week? The in-session time, plus 20-30 minutes of daily practice.

How do I pay you? You can do a direct transfer or through the payment service, Wise.

Are discounts available if I book a bundle of sessions? I can offer a 10% discount for 10 sessions. I recommend that you pay as you go for the first few until you get a feel for whether the coaching is valuable for you.

Can we meet in person? Not at this time. All the coaching happens over Zoom.
